According to the Pursat Provincial Administration, the construction of the DAMNAK CHHEU KROM DAM project includes a main levee and an extensive network of irrigation canals stretching over 90 kilometers.
These canals will provide a reliable water source for irrigation across 16,100 hectares of farmland in 51 villages, significantly boosting agricultural productivity in the region. The DAM is part of the Greater Mekong Sub-region Flood and Drought Risk Management and Mitigation Project which is funded by the Asian Development Bank.
